The Only Bones solo concept is a minimalist physical theater project developed by Thom Monckton, which is based on given parameters, which each artist can either break or fulfill at will. The original instructions are: "only one light, no narration, no set, no props, no text and all in a limited space". The artists are then left with their own skills to create their own unique world within the concept.
We are making a contemporary circus performance and the first duo version out of it:

Only Bones 2.0.
We explore the formation of different characters and associations with our bodies through the means of dance and pair acrobatics, playing on the boundaries of light and dark. We take advantage of the possibilities of a single lamp by exploring different ways to use it inventively as part of a performance.

The work challenges the body to be seen and experienced as something other than a beautiful shell to be decorated and acted out. Could it be a totem pole respecting our own personality and the life we ​​lived?
